FIRE PROTECTION

Detection and extinguishing by scenario

Detect earlier, stop safely and extinguish at the source: intelligent detection by oscarcabreragonzalez IoT Studio and certified extinguishing by Extincise, with the EN 54 series as the design reference.

Industrial walls and technical rooms

The dome scans the wall and focuses on the equipment at risk

Drives and wall-mounted equipment within the field of view. When one heats up, the system identifies which one it is and where, so that the PLC acts on it alone.

  • Pan-tilt movement to cover the entire surface
  • False positive rejection and intrusion alert
  • Local protection remains operational even if the network or power fails

Processing and recycling centres

Batteries off the line before the compactor

A battery hidden in scrap is a latent fire. It is detected in the hopper and on the belt, within seconds, before it reaches the compactor.

  • Vision domes over the hopper and the conveyor belt
  • Safe line stop via the PLC
  • Localised extinguishing at the exact point

Data centres

Very early detection in server rooms

In a data centre the risk originates in power supplies, UPS units and cabling long before a flame appears. Vision and sensor monitoring locates the affected rack.

  • Monitoring by aisle and by rack
  • Integration with BMS and DCIM
  • Localised extinguishing without affecting the rest of the room

Power generation plants

Substations and generating stations

Transformers, switchgear cells and electrical rooms monitored continuously, including unmanned installations.

  • Thermal monitoring of transformers and switchgear cells
  • Communication with the plant SCADA
  • Autonomous operation at remote sites

Rail

Technical huts and rolling stock

Signalling huts and traction equipment are spread along kilometres of track. Each point is monitored remotely and notifies the control centre.

  • Monitoring of signalling and power huts
  • Communication via cellular or LPWAN networks along the line
  • Immediate alert to the control centre

Aviation

Hangars and airport technical rooms

Hangars, electrical rooms and baggage handling systems concentrate high-value equipment. Early detection reduces the risk of operational disruption.

  • Monitoring of electrical rooms and hangars
  • Monitoring of belts and baggage systems
  • Integration with the operations centre

Maritime

Port terminals and vessels

Cranes, quayside switchboards and reefer containers operate non-stop in a salty atmosphere.

  • Monitoring of crane switchboards and reefer containers
  • Hardware built for the marine environment
  • Radio links sized for the terminal

Magazines, ammunition depots and stockpiles

Continuous surveillance of sensitive sites

In storage facilities for sensitive material the priority is to identify any thermal or electrical anomaly at its earliest stage and immediately alert the security centre.

  • Continuous monitoring of temperature, smoke and gases
  • Integrated access control and intrusion detection
  • Immediate alert to the security centre and command

Manufacturing and production industry

Manufacturing plants protected without interfering with the process

Production lines, machine panels and technical rooms monitored continuously, with localised action on the affected equipment.

  • Detection in machine panels and technical rooms
  • Safe line stop via the PLC
  • Traceable event log for auditing

Frequently asked questions

What does detecting and extinguishing at the source mean?

A conventional system detects when smoke reaches the ceiling of the room. Here detection is inside the protected enclosure, such as the cabinet, the panel or the technical room, and extinguishing acts on that volume: the fire is controlled before it spreads and the rest of the installation can keep running.

Which standards serve as the design reference?

The EN 54 series for detection and alarm components, and the extinguishing regulations applicable to the agent and the risk of each installation. The equipment is designed in accordance with them and its conformity is demonstrated in the technical documentation of each project.

Does it integrate with the existing fire panel or SCADA?

Yes. Alarms are delivered via dry contact or RS-485 to the fire panel, the PLC or the SCADA, and can also be sent to the cloud dashboard.

Shall we talk about your installation?

An engineer studies your case and proposes where to start.
